“A variety of community organizations and business owners gathered together on Wednesday May 30th in the PHS cafeteria to view the preliminary small learning community development at Maxson, Hubbard, and PHS. The evening was facilitated by a community member, Dr. Inez Durham who is a member of the Plainfield Public Schools District Wide Small Learning Communities Design Team. There are eleven small learning communities that will be operating in September 2007 and Wednesday’s evening’s showcase displayed the numerous opportunities for local government agencies, higher education institutions, and business owners to become involved with the young adults of Plainfield Public Schools.”
