Mission

The Plainfield Public School District will provide all students the opportunity to become critical thinkers who are scientifically and technologically literate. By providing an inquiry-based science approach students will become socially, environmentally, and morally aware of their responsibilities as productive citizens.

Vision

The Plainfield Public Schools Science Department in collaboration with parents, community members, and University partnerships will provide all students a standards-based (NJCCCS) science curriculum that supports learner-centered classrooms and environment. We envision a comprehensive, rigorous and cohesive curriculum design that supports and encourages curiosity, critical thinking and life long learning.
